I’m completely disappointed and disgusted. I am a 22 year old kid who has has seen the 1978 original and has fallen in love with its place and status among Halloween movies and horror movies has a whole. The original is a masterpiece in the way it was filmed and how the story was told. The story was simple. A kid who lost it and snapped and went on a killing spree and wouldn’t stop till he killed who he wanted. It was simple but perfectly structured story line. It played off reality, a grown adult vs a teen. But where the original was a true masterpiece was how it used the emotion of fear and paranoia to create the ultimate suspense and that would leave the audience with chills. The new one lost complete sight of that and honestly was trash. Micheal automatically had powers of some sort and was no longer the boogeyman who stalked and played with fear he needed the help of some random kid. I was sitting and waiting an hour and a half to see Michael and Laurie face each other. But no it became a sappy love story like all movies are these days. TRASH TRASH TRASH. 0/10 stars. Hope y’all agree!!!!! Let’s make a better one.
