A Transformers movie is unlike a Godzillia or King Kong Movie in that the Transformers all have motivations, personalities, and most importantly, can talk.
Why then does this film waste a good twenty minutes trying to make the humans relatable so that we cheer for them? To set up unplausible scenario after scenario so that they are indispensable to the plot?
Because it's a terrible movie.
Without the special effects and the soundtrack, I'd have knocked it down to 1 star but it's a barely passable summer flick.
