Didn't realize until the beginning credits that Sam Levinson was an Executive Producer for this. I tried to brush that fact off except this had to go and be nearly as bad as The Idol was. Actually it might be as bad as The Idol. They sure carry a lot of the same themes. Coke, fame, weird Hollywood rituals, more coke for no reason... This one had more murder. I really liked Pearl. One of my fave films of recent years. X was okay. This was not good unfortunately, despite the evident budget increase.

No, just no. This movie is shot really beautifully but beyond that it's so nonsensical and try hard. The slow dialogue left me groaning it was so hard to sit through. I wondered if it would all come together in the end, or play out more as a satire even, but the whole story was so unsatisfying. It feels like there were way too many 'yes men' around the film's incohesive odd ideas. It was like a fever dream and not in a good way. The idea of satan actually feels less scary to me than it did before sitting through this. I'm actually not going to come for Nic Cage's performance at all, he went full out as usual.

I'm really surprised I'm not seeing more low ratings. I watched the whole series, week by week, and every week left me wanting something "more". Quite frankly I was bored by this series. I didn't know who I should be rooting for or "why"; I didn't feel the characters, notably the ones who have an "emotional" romantic subplot, had THAT great of chemistry; and it just feels like the plot was very drawn out with little pay off in the end. Ultimately I didn't feel a connection with the characters, and I didn't feel entertained. That's my personal experience with the show. It's visually interesting but that didn't sustain my interest alone. I will stick to historical K-dramas which I've had better experiences with.

Something different! A whole moviegoing experience! Enjoyed the exploration of the India underground & Patel's character development. The visuals and music were excellent. Not huge on action movies - for the sake of action - but this was something special and captivating. Monkey Man! Monkey Man! 🐵

I have never binged seasons as hard and fast as I do with Top Boy. You quickly become invested in the characters, story arcs and edge of your seat drama. As an American, it is also captivating for me to be immersed in a new culture, language and way of life; that is, in London and with focus on the British Jamaican families of Summerhouse. Top Boy is a highly interesting and (at the expense of brutal incidence) attention grabbing television series! It maintains a unique, top tier directing style throughout and which adds intensity to the emotional rollercoaster you will be taken on. Enjoy!

So far I am really enjoying how things are playing out, it is a slow burn but interesting to see how things pan out at a reflective pace. I think the different dating culture is refreshing to watch compared to Love Island UK/USA/Austratlia, etc. I am interested in each of the contestant's personalities and physical attractiveness. They are all captivating in their own ways :) Having their professions revealed when the couples match and go to 'Paradise' is always surprising in a good way. I would definitely recommend this show!

Just did my re-watch on episode 3 and what a wild freaking ride. This show is extremely entertaining, and I also like the dive on themes of colonialzation and privilege. I find myself hanging onto the smallest lines, people think the writing is drab but it is actually really good and interesting? Really enjoying watching this "whodunnit" unfold. And the characters unravel :) EDIT: Episode 4... omg. Just keeps getting better.

WOW!! I watched this over the weeks on Netflix leading up to the finale and it did NOT disappoint! Seriously came together so well, I won't be over it for a while... Highly recommend this amazing, sexy and cool show.

This movie is so entertaining it's crazy! Toward the end you could feel how special this cast is and how magic it is to have them all together again. The We Are Family montage was pure joy and love. Laughed my butt off and maybe cried a little toward the end there as well :) Can't forget to give props to the wardrobe styling which was simply unbelievable. *chefs kiss*
