This movie is an absolute heresy defunct of the scriptural account of the Exodus.
First off, it alters the scriptures. Especially in it's depiction of God as having revealed himself in human form to Moses. As if that's not bad enough, the writers depict God as an angry, abstinent, child with no clear understanding of compassion and is just focused on vengeance against Egypt.
Moreover, it promotes a "logical" account (by that I mean humanistic logic) of God's wonders. Especially when it makes the outrageous, fictional claim that alligators slaughtered people in the Nile to turn the river to blood, rather than following the scriptural account of Aaron and Moses smoting the rivers to blood through God.
If that isn't enough, it doesn't show that Moses went to Pharaoh multiple times to get him to release the Hebrews, and that if he had repented the Lord would have ceased to afflict the Egyptians.
The movie is meant to mislead non-Bible readers into following a idolized, cinematic version of what really happened. It questions God's deity, and blasphemes his name without prejudice.
