That I am still playing Madden 12 should tell you what I think of the game.
What drew me in was Franchise Mode, which gave me the opportunity to create unique teams, uniforms and stadiums. And even though there were a few bugs in getting my college players moved over from NCAA 12, I developed workarounds.
I just assumed that Madden would do what NBA 2K does, letting me expand my league rather than replace teams, and even design or download new uniforms for existing teams.
A 40-team NFL could work smoothly with an 18-game schedule (which is coming at some point).
But instead, what we get is an array of limited relocation options -- and while I appreciate the inclusion of non-US cities, I can think of 30 or 40 American cities that could be included.
And before anyone argues that all of those names would be too much, remember that NCAA 14 has more than 120 location names and more than 300 mascots.
So until Madden gives me a reason to upgrade, I will continue to enjoy Madden 12.
