I don't even know where to start. After playing this I just feel extremely infuriated and just overall sad. This game just misses the mark. I've loved all of naughty dog's previous games but this was just terrible. The gameplay is fine, nothing special or revolutionary but perfectly serviceable. The music is good. The graphics are great. The story however is awful. It slogs in places, and is boring in others. The biggest issue though is the many odd plot points put in. I feel that it disrespects the characters we all know and love. It seems like it's filled with shock value, and the story was written just to "subvert expectations". There is no need for the type of violence in the game (it seems like a snuff film or something, the violence adds nothing). The characterization of characters was off. Some characters are just unlikeable in this game. The ending was horrible. This game was extremely unsatisfying and after waiting 7 years for this, I do not say that lightly. Save your money and pick this up used in the future, it is not worth it right now. Overall, this game probably should not have been made.
