Serious script error in Season 13, ep 1. There is a scene where the commissioner and the cardinal are sitting in a church. The church is about to be closed down. It becomes apparent the tabernacle has been desecrated. The actor playing the Cardinal looks a little annoyed- and says (words to the effect) that a valuable "chalice" had been stolen. He says it twice in the script. The tabernacle is not place where a chalice would be stored, but it is where a ciborium might be stored. But further, if a tabernacle had been broken into, that's a maximum and most serious desecration of the blessed sacrament. No Bishop or priest would sit there talking about a stolen object made of gold, as the desecration of the sacrament is far more serious. It would be an emergency that would produce immediate and grave distress in any Catholic. In a show that is supposed to presume knowledge of Catholicism, this is an extremely poorly researched and obvious error. Very disappointing. Do better.
