This is book is very generic and seems like anyone could have written it. None of the character's (protagonists or others) make you care about them. The kidnapping conclusion was obvious from the start. Personally, I haven't liked any of Patterson's books the last few years. Have stopped reading a few after a couple of chapters. To it's credit, I'll at least finish this. Possibly because it's based in my home town, Brooklyn.
