This movie was an absolute disaster from start to finish. It's hard to believe that anyone involved in its production thought it was a good idea. From the incomprehensible plot to the lackluster acting, "They Them" fails on every level.
First of all, let's talk about the plotโor lack thereof. It's as if the filmmakers threw together a bunch of random scenes and called it a movie. There's no coherent story, no character development, nothing to engage the audience. It's just one confusing mess after another.
And don't even get me started on the acting. It's painfully clear that the cast had no idea what they were doing. The performances are wooden and unconvincing, making it impossible to care about any of the characters.
But perhaps the most unforgivable sin of "They Them" is its attempt at social commentary. Throughout the film, it clumsily tries to tackle important issues like gender identity and discrimination, but it does so in the most ham-fisted way possible. Instead of sparking meaningful conversation, it only serves to trivialize these complex topics.
