This is such an interesting story, so it's disappointing that it wasn't handled better by the director/writers of this series. The actors certainly did their part, but the writing just didn't ring true. It didn't bring the story to life. Everyone around Micheal seems to trust and obey him blindly. His children never question him and do whatever they must to appease him. I have a hard time believing that's how things really happened. But the main issue with this series it's confusing, structureless format which roams aimlessly from timeline to timeline. It makes the series difficult to follow and focus on. It's also too long, and ends up feeling like two completely different stories. I admit I spent a decent part of the last few episodes scrolling while it played in the background. Which didn't seem to take much from the experience.

Courtney Cox has never been a very good actress, but she is incredibly bad in this. Although it's not entirely her fault, since the writing is also bad. The comedic element is based mostly around the fact that Pat (Cox) is a bad mom and a selfish person. This gets old quick. She's constantly talking about how much she hates her kids, especially her daughter, and it's really weird. It's clearly meant to be edgy and different but ends up just feeling sloppy, lazy and frankly a little icky. It's trying so hard to be like the Santa Clarita diet and failing miserably. If you haven't seen that, you should. It's an excellent example of how an idea like this one can be done right.

I had higher expectations for Kristen Wigg. That's actually the only reason I watched this. If it has been 3 or 4 episodes, it would've been decent. But once I got to episode 5 I was exhausted. I finished it in hopes it would get better. It did not.

Two hours of my life I'll never get back. Sloppy writing, ridiculous plot, boring ending. I'm disappointed in you Shamalayn.

****SPOILERS**** I can't remember the last time I saw such a bad movie. I spent this whole movie wondering, is this a joke? Is Daniel Craig's accent supposed to be terrible? Is the Edward Norton meant to be absolutely insufferable? Is it meant to poke fun at the traditional, clue style, whodunnit? I still don't know. All I know is got about 90% through. Suffering every moment. Until I finally couldn't take it anymore. Do you know how bad a movie has to be to DNF at 90%? From the beginning it was clear that Miles was the killer. I just hoped they would add some kind of clever plot twist to avoid this obvious conclusion. This is why movies boasting 3 or more A list celebrities should be avoided at all costs. It felt less like acting and more like a bunch of celebrities having a fun weekend off while filming.

Unplayable. I really wanted to like this game. But the controls are beyond terrible. Little hoa just keeps running if you tap the L stick (switch) making it impossible to jump and land accurately. Waste of money. Too bad because it looked like a good game

What an amazing game!! When I first saw the turn-based battle style I groaned. It reminded me of Paper Mario, which was a great game but the battles were painful and repetitive and took up SO much time. But this game is different, so don't let the turn-based battle style dissuade you from trying this game. It's nothing like Paper Mario battles. In fact turn-based isn't the right name for it. The battles actually require thought, and it's not just about timing or button smashing. You have to think. The game itself is stunning. The music and atmosphere of the game are truly enjoyable. I loved the story. I only paid four dollars for this game. It was worth much more. By contrast I paid 40 for "the pathless" and it wasn't even close to as good as this game. Shout out to the creators. The blood, sweat, and tears you put into this game really show. I am so hoping there will be a child of light 2. Buy it. It's fantastic. Best game I've played in a while. UPDATE: I just found out there won't be a child of light 2. I'm so heartbroken. PLEASE Obisoft, let these amazing creators make a new child of light!!!

It was ok. I finished the game so I suppose that counts for something. The story was pretty lacking until the end, when we finally understand why the god slayer is trying to become a god. The eagle is cool. But the game itself is repetitive and the landscapes all look the same. Each area looked nearly identical to the last (with the exception of the last area which was the same landscape but with snow). Open world games have to provide more variety or they get boring. Think Zelda totk. Each area in totk is unique and can't be confused with another. Overall id say it was a 5 on a scale of Mario rabidds(1) to Zelda totk (10)
