There were many times the book was too cringy to read and I had to put the book down. It is an uncomfortable read - because of how Evan manipulates the people around him to get what he wants. He eventually starts believing that he knew Connor. I wish he could've had more of a punishment. The resolution didn't feel complete. I wanted to know more about how the Murphy family felt when they found out the truth. He really let it go to far. I wish he came clean to Alana as well. The whole story is a morally gray area. Alana and Jared never treated him well yet seeing him snap on them made me feel like Evan was the bad guy. The saving grace of this book is Connor. He is painfully real and tragic. I looked forward to his sections of the book every time just because he is so much more tolerable compared to Evan.
