Shady part of Me is an amazing game for many reasons. Firstly, it offers both a 3d and 2d experience in one story, which is difficult to pull off usually, however, this game pulls it off extremely well.
Also, not only the game itself is great, but the inside story it shows is amazing, the idea of a little girl suffering from depression depicted in a hallucinatory journey where her fear of people judging her is portrayed as an inability to touch the light is an mind-blowing and astounding concept that I wish was used more often.
But hands down the BEST thing about this game is the art style, it is genuinely beautiful and it goes so well with the dreamlike aesthetic of the backgrounds and settings, while the art of this game really magnifies every slight detail and every checkpoint paints the white canvas ahead with a murky yet still eye-opening colour scheme.
Last but not least, the voice acting and music for this game is perfectly done with Hannah Murray doing some of the most excellent voice acting I have ever heard in a game, while most songs in this game are ambient and not really songs, they still fit perfectly inside this astonishingly well-crafted world created by Douze Dixiemes.
I really love what this Indie game has in store and you will too, so if you ever get the opportunity, play this game, I could not recommend it more.
