Really great show! At first I thought "Wait, African and Asian people during the middle age in England, sounds audacious!"
All in all, I really enjoyed the diversity in this show. It's not something that I usually pay a lot of intention to, but the way they broke the racial homogeneity during the legend of King Arthur just added to the fantasy, and I have to say that I'm glad that they've been that provocative and to let other races play their role in this rather cool story.
It was a nice surprise since I thought the historical mistakes could be a red flag of poorly written scenario, but it wasn't the case at all. It was a great artistic provocation that was just the first step towards breaking the box when it comes to writing a cool story.
The plot is great, the twists are fantastic, actors are talented, and the futhark runes on some Viking's skulls are spot on!
I have to say, it was refreshing. Too many shows nowadays are trying to compensate poorly written scenarios with sex scenes every damn five minutes, but this show stayed authentic, qualitative, and provocative from beginning to end.
Home run for me. I'm super excited for the season 2! Hopefully covid-19 won't make us wait to long, but safety first, I can wait!
Amazing job, I am impressed, my deep congratulations to everyone involved!
SPOILER:
----------------
However it's not a straight 10/10. I'd give it 9.8, because at some point the grey monk touches a leaf and it doesn't turn his hand green, but it does later on. So there is a small hole in the writing there.
PS: Big UP on the actress playing Nimue for not falling into naked scenes. Talented people don't need that and I hope she won't get pressured into doing it on season 2!
