What a great time.
The movie started seeming like layers upon itself; stories forming one. As we progress alongside the humour and perfect soundtrack, we discover not about the title, but about whom reside in it. The characters are lively and all of their interactions are never forced out of themselves for the plot. As characters pile onto each other, dead or alive, everyone of them are real, not some simple bystanders meant to fuel the story. The climax couldn’t have been better, concluding with a great show off of weaponry alike and jokes adding ontop of each other. While the end may seem mellow dramatic, it is the most fitting conclusion to a tale as such as The Grand Budapest Hotel.
