I don't usually leave reviews, but this game is just too good not to talk about. I haven’t had this much fun with a multiplayer game since BO2. Every match feels fresh, especially with the variety of unique characters to choose from. In my first two games, I racked up 20+ kills using Spider-Man, and by my fourth match, I was MVP with none other than Jeff the freaking land shark. Once I started digging into the character bios and learning how to use them properly, the game became even more enjoyable. Even on matches where I don’t do well, I feel like I’ve learned something that makes me a better player. Even if the teams aren’t perfectly balanced, the matches are still competitive and a blast to play.
The visuals are absolutely stunning, and the combat is smooth, chaotic, and ridiculously fun. If you’re struggling with the game, it’s probably a skill issue because NetEase gives you all the tools you need to understand the characters. As long as they keep adding new heroes and fine-tuning the balance (since a few characters are a bit OP right now), I can see myself playing this game for a long time. Honestly, I’m blown away by how much fun it is—I haven’t been this eager to wake up early just to get a match in since I was a kid.
I also appreciate how the game handles its dialogue between female heroes. While there are moments that hint at girl power, it’s done in a way that doesn’t feel forced or shoved down your throat. On top of that, the character designs are amazing—they look fantastic and stay true to the comics, which means a lot to me as a fan of the source material.
Oh, and I might be wrong, but it seems like there’s little to no skill-based matchmaking, which I personally love. Last night, I had so many pop-off moments, and when I didn’t do well, it just felt like the other players were better or I made mistakes.
If I could rate this game 5000 STARS for pure fun, I absolutely would.
