I love Varney, his humor and how informative his show is. Lighthearted but knowledgeable information. Both news and the markets. Watching just now about the choice food stamp users have as to what to buy should be up to them and not the government, they think it should be up to the food stamp buyer and NOT the government. What THEY DONT UNDERSTAND, IS the government does control what they buy. They aren’t able to buy ANY paper products like Kleenex, toilet paper napkins, tooth paste, toilet bowl cleaner, laundry detergent, dish soap, bar soap, shampoo, (you wonder why we have children going to school with lice, bed bug infestation, dirty clothes and etc)? THEY CAN BUY, all the candy, pop and junk food they want though. So please inform your audience, as many, many people don’t know ALL the restrictions put on food stamps, they just see pop, candy and etc sometimes, ALSO ,, inform them that if they see someone well dressed using food stamps, it will most likely be a food shopper for an elderly person who is unable to do the shopping for themselves, and these are volunteers. Also inform them, that an adult not able to work and or disabled gets about maybe if their lucky $200 a month food stamps. And a disability check the government has decided they should get is around $750 a month depending how much money you have to put towards your health insurance. So they have an income of around $950 a month. Not enough for rent, utilities, rental insurance, car, car insurance, gas, clothes or the things needed food stamps won’t buy. So these people do deserve to buy a bottle of pop, candy or a treat ,, would you be able to live like this? So please do an update and inform people of these things. Thank You...
