Spyro the dragon made by Activision was a great game. While people do believe it doesn't have affiliation to the original trilogy franchise this is slightly not true. Spyro did mention that he did defeat gnasty gnorc in the past years ago and being so long ago gnasty gnorc believed that he defeated spyro but spyro had to refreshing his memory that it was the other way around. So the game does show affiliation to the original trilogy franchise. While the mermaid queen was indeed the second boss in the second realm there was infact a third boss for the ice realm mentioned by Red himself. He decided to take matters into his own hands while the 3rd boss was most likey supposed to be Ripto but due to the game being slightly rushed Red took his place instead of just being the final boss to end the game.
