I think a lot of people are hating on this book because they expected it to read like a brand new story they’ve never heard before. Which is a horrible expectation to have of a book that is written to be the same story in a different point of view. I appreciate Mrs. Meyer for completing this project so long in the making! As it helps me as someone that not only loves and is inspired by her work but also just someone who is flat out a fan of twilight saga in general get a better understanding of Edward Cullen, his family as well as the story as a whole. When you have both sides you can click things into place. “Oh how funny she took it this way but he really meant it this way.” That is one of the realistic aspects you can put into writing as so much of our day to day lives are assuming and gauging others on their body language/reactions and responses.
This is a great book for any true fan of the original story. I pray she continues with the entire thing. (I know you give us an inch we take a mile) but I respect her decision and would be grateful even if this is the only one she writes in his point of view. Also, if you haven’t read the book stop leaving reviews as it helps no one. 🙄
