Paper Mario The Origami King: The King of Modern Paper Mario Games
Overall, Origami King is a fantastic game, right at the level of Super Paper Mario. It had Partners (sorta), a better battle system alongside permanent attacks, story, and unique characters. It fixed a lot of problems that the previous two had, although there are flaws. The battle system is cool and all, but it suffers from one main problem, NO EXPERIENCE POINTS, JUST LIKE THE TWO BEFORE IT. That single-handedly ruined a big chunk of gameplay. And also, partners are temporary, and the only partner you use outside of battle is Professor Toad. which sucks. Story was more involved, like King Olly and the Vellumentals. What the heck, even the Legion of Stationery had lore. Yeah, a pair of scissors is more unique than the koopalings, just so you know.
Overall, despite it's flaws, Paper Mario: The Origami King is an awesome game after two bad games. I just hope that Intelligent Systems become Intelligent again and make a Paper Mario game as much of a masterpiece as TTYD again.
