I enjoyed season 1. DCI Morck is a caustic and highly capable detective who is not afraid to speak his mind. Mathew Goode does an excellent job playing the angry and irreverent DCI. My favorite character is Akram played by Alexej Manvelov. I love his deadpan delivery of one liners, hilarious! The story builds with each episode. It is a thriller but with some who dunnit components where clues are scattered like breadcrumbs throughout the episodes.

The lead actress is a good actress but the character she plays is annoying. I agree with some of the reviewers that the story is not believable and the main character just annoyingly goes off and does her own investigation just to fulfill her curiosity then withhold pertinent information to the detective team. Would real detectives just let her go off without any protection and backup, not plausible. I stopped watching after 4 episodes and read plot summaries for the remaining episodes.
