Great story. As one who served in the French paratroops as a conscript in the 1980s, I couldn't wait to read how the author would describe his experience in the 2ème REP. The way M. Struthers explains the personal decisions leading to his joining - and leaving - the Légion are genuine. The descriptions of protocols, traditions, training and operations are clear and realistic. The nod to History at various points in the book and humor are great touches to an already fascinating story. More Majorum, M. Struthers, I hope to have you sign my copy of your book some day and buy you a cold one.
