Gillian Anderson is fantastic and if she was the focus this moving would be beautiful. All the other actors feel like a moody high school play. It also would be much more believable if the son was adopted. All the family is statuesque and he is not.
The love story between him and his girlfriend is cringy to watch. Thereโs random moments tossed in (grandpa and secretary) that have no point. The timing and transitions are atrocious. Itโs so slow and then ending is rushed.
