In all the recent Clint Eastwood movies that I have seen I am always drawn to the human elements he brings out in his characters where he reveals ordinary people trying to make sense of the situation that they find themselves in and of course, his new movie The Mule delivers this mantra in spades.
His imperfection and vulnerability in the lead role character impressively also draws out the humanity from the cartel fraternity and mostly those he comes in contact with in contrast to his failures of his own personal life.
This is also shown where he stands his ground to the harshness of life yet shows complete tenderness and care to the flowers that he loves seemingly to others more than his family which again makes us cheer for the antihero even more.
On a personal level the movie again reminds us to live a full life as increasingly many octogenarians are showing us whippersnappers who are already feeling a bit creaky already are.
