I was a bit disappointed. Normally Mr. King is a stickler for details but he seemed a little careless in this novel. When Bucky asked Alice if she knew shorthand for a proposed job I had to read it 3 times to make sure I actually read the word 'shorthand'. Very few jobs required shorthand in 2019. It seemed so out of place and should have been replaced with MS Excel, Word or even Javascript. A seemingly little thing but it bothered me for the remainder of the book. On the plus side I liked Bily and his relationship with Alice. I was hoping the end would have been different and the Billy character would be reprised in another novel.

Fascinating. It was interesting trying to figure out the world from Klara's perspective. I honestly couldn't put the book down.
