where do i even begin? this movie was possibly the biggest waste of my time since the last drunk hook-up i had 2 months ago. there's absolutely no plot, no context behind events that take place, and little to no climax! anyone here rating 3-5 stars and calling this a "masterpiece" are either a.) extremely lost and confused, or b.) faking it and pretending to find it deep. i mean, there's such a lack of good dialogue that i could have written something similar within 15 minutes in the third grade. the cinematography is breathtaking, and the cast is absolutely beautiful - which makes me wonder why the team behind it decided to throw it all in the garbage. this movie looks like it was edited in under an hour. i felt like i was being punk'd the entire time. long story short, this movie is an absolute joke. there was an incredible amount of potential with the concept, cast, and setting, but i'm pretty sure the writers and director gave up on it all 15 minutes into filming. at some point you have to keep the symbolism minimal and at least put some effort into a storyline. do not waste your time with this movie unless you're a sadistic, woman-hating freak who likes to watch men beat and rape women in the name of jesus with no dialogue.
