An amazing book for an authors first go! Exciting! Very gripping! Paolini did an amazing job setting up conflicts which keep the reader hooked in, such as the, 'condition' of Arya when Eragon first meets her. Immersive! The reader experiences Eragon's inner-workings very deeply! The other characters are well-done as well. The world-building is well-done and an interesting take on the classic 'Elves-dragons-dwarves' sort of fantasy. The magic system is also well-done, with very well-set rules. The only issue with Paolini's writing is the world-building is sometimes dumped on the reader, too much at once. However, the book is exciting enough to keep the reader going. Congratulations to Paolini for an amazing start to his career!
