Supposedly experienced detective manipulates and murders her merry way to promotion apparently not experienced enough to know how to cover her tracks. (Maybe sub-consciously she wants to be caught?). As a police procedural it is rife with errors. Plot ranges from high drama to pure zaniness, illogical plot holes peppering both series. If the writer proposes to do something similar she might benefit from consulting an actual experienced detective.
