He Man was among every school boy's playing toys. 8am, Sundays was a joy when national television showed an episode. Looking back now, and comparing to the Marvel and DC juggernauts, it's nostalgic to believe MOTU had such a grip on us.

Certainly the scariest film to date in the franchise. A heart rending scene that fans of the 1993 film will identify with seals the first half. This film brings the startling reality of genetic engineering like a slap in the face in a twist near the end. Sets the stage for Act III.
