As a Native American, I was hesitant to compare Palestine and the plight of the Palestinian People with that of the hundreds of nations, tribes and bands of Natives in Turtle Island (I recognize that there are Natives south of Panama as well, but I don't know their histories as well as I do for my relatives in what is now Central and North America).
Well, I read this book last year with a study group and was blown away by the stories, the documentation, and also by reading the laws that the ethno-nationalist state of Israel has enacted against the people of the land. While it is profoundly decent and selfless for the authors to share their stories, photographs, families, and feelings, it is a history that an outsider finds both raw and eerily familiar to her own. Thank you fo rthe truth and Thank you for this book.
