The climax of the film felt very weak, especially considering the buildup and the setup for the villains throughout the story. The two young characters, likely not older than 25, committed some of the most heinous crimes imaginable-they brutally raped a powerful gangsters wife, killed his close friend (another notorious criminal), and even attacked his mother.
After witnessing such horrific acts, the audience naturally develops intense hatred for these characters and expects a fitting punishment. At the very least, viewers anticipate seeing them face prolonged suffering-perhaps enduring the agony of starvation or the slow, excruciating pain of death. Personally, I expected the protagonist to imprison them and subject them to months of relentless torture, dismembering them piece by piece, making them feel the weight of their crimes before finally letting them succumb to hunger.
However, for all the atrocities they committed, their deaths were disappointingly quick-over in mere seconds-depriving the audience of any sense of justice or satisfaction. This abrupt resolution undermined the emotional investment built up throughout the film.
The actor-director succeeded in portraying the four friends as very powerful, but their backstory or involvement in solving another problem should have been explored to add more depth.
I felt that the elevations given to the main lead, along with the intense close-up shots showcasing his power and anger, with by a terrific background score, were all built up just to deliver a mere 5 min payoff in the climax.
