Unbelievably problematic but isnโt that what we got with the show and the two movies? I waited for a while to watch AJLT because I was afraid of what I might find and to be honest the first few scenes I felt entirely vindicated. However the end of the first episode and I was hooked in. While I found the characters to be at points abit 2D and all the weird wokeness stuff, at the heart of the show was a lot of laughs, a lot of poetry and a lot of touching moments. SATC was never about being politically correct and even when they tried to be, they sucked at it. What it is about is friendship. And I felt I was with my girls again. And that was lovely. Personally I loved Miranda and her total 180 u-turn. As someone who went through something similar, people do wake up and this I found to be truthful, I was rooting for Che to be the good one all the way. Also Charlotte with a non-binary child - genius. I believe the messaging was about coming to the realisation that life never turns out the way you made plans. And just like that, you got to make the best of it. Canโt wait for season 2.
