Where to start Such a boring dragged out film. I know this is based on a true story but they could have made it a little Bit more entertaining. First expedition. Two men made it there and back with nothing but surveying equipment, Second, a wealthy man pays for the expedition yet they seem to have nothing, they moan about being hungry yet they’ve got guns and you only see them hunt one pig, said wealthy man left on their only horse. Yet not once was there a horse in sight until fat man leaves. (How did they get that horse so far up river) Third, only the main character and his son are left but they then get captured. As for the ending- well. Lazy writing that left massive cut outs into the future with no explanation. We found it- were back home. How any honest reasonable person can say ‘this is the best film they’ve ever seen’ is beyond me The acting was good but I had to keep turning the volume up and down to either hear what they’re as saying (mumbling) to them turn it back down because of the loud music.
