I’m so disappointed by the changes they made to the storyline. The pageant was sooo unnecessary. The overt focus on her cooking earlier in her story was annoying. The book did such a good job of showing the sexiest struggle Elizabeth Zott went through, and the adaption was over the top and took away from the real struggles. It was almost a joke. The changes to Harriet & Six-Thirty’s characters were also disappointing. In order to try to be diverse they took away awareness of an actual social issue of domestic violence and took away a little bit of the magic that made the book special.
