Would have been much better if Gretel had at least an ounce of internal conflict between choosing to be a good or bad witch. They could have used the mushrooms as a gateway for her altruistic thinking to be changed, but it seems it was just a taboo add-in to add unfitting shock value. It was an unbelievably boring plot with, as I stated, little internal conflict within any character. The cinematography was simple but well done.
