Superman isn't David Corenswet - David Corenswet is Superman, to paraphrase Picasso. Hits all the right Superman notes. A little Superman:Birthright, a little All-Star Superman. If you want a Superman that doesn't take selfies, but is just a good person that will always see the best in people - this is your Superman movie. The right level of raw action, fun action, and some dialogue that actually make you know, understand and like the characters. Lex Luther (Nicholas Hoult) is very well played - a villain with a relatable, very human motive. Brosnahan's Lois was strong, smart and disarming. Nathan Fillion steals all his scenes. I would have like to see Hawkgirl be a little closer to Bruce Timm's Justice League version - but she was a strong supporting character. I thought the rest of the cast was great - OH - and the surprise casting of Kirk Lazarus as Mr. Terrific, Edi Gathegi was great too. I want to see more of everyone and look forward to more adventures.
