Just could not get into it....although, I was totally impressed with Pattinson's acting ability. I can appreciate the creativity and originality of the story, but it's too far fetched to hold my interest.

The acting was the most impressive aspect of the film. The pace of the movie was slow and tedious. However, the ending was uniquely thought provoking and tied the films’ obvious commentary on the politics of the Catholic hierarchy.

One of the most realistic movies I’ve seen on the decline of an individual suffering from Alzheimer’s. I have always thought Anthony Hopkins is one of the most talented and underrated actors of our time. His portrayal of a man descending into the world of Alzheimer’s was very similar to what I observed with my Dad in his last 10 years. The movie is not so much entertaining, as watching a person descend into the depths of dementia is anything but entertaining — but, it is amazing to watch Hopkins’ brilliant performance. Anthony Hopkins absolutely nailed the portrayal of a man besieged with one of the most devastating illnesses in the world. Don’t view this movie to be entertained — view it to educate yourself about the disease, what it does to the person afflicted with it and the impact on those souls who care for them!
