The film's technique of playing the same event through three different perspectives was a little confusing at first, but eventually it made sense. The ending was inconclusive, to be sure, but if they had written an ending with one of the options available, then that would opened another whole round of critiques over why they chose this versus that.

I've managed to get through seven episodes of season one and I'm conflicted over whether to watch e08 or just quit while I'm ahead. I've watched other shows where the main character also functions as a narrator (Dexter), but this doesn't hold a candle to that. Beck is a pathetic creature who will never amount to anything other than looking pretty. Peach is/was a manipulative monster who sort of gets what is coming to her. Essentially, the happy little cohort of Peach, Beck, and friends isn't much beyond a TV rendition of some Valley Gurls whose only purpose in life is... what exactly? Watching this and listening to the dialogue leaves me with this impression: Peach this, Beck that, Joe this, Beck that, Peach this. Give me a break.
