I’ve been a fan of the FC series for years, but FC25 has left me utterly disappointed. Disabling cross-play is one of the most baffling decisions I’ve seen from a gaming company. This change has completely shattered the community spirit and competitive atmosphere that made the game enjoyable. Firstly, it feels like a blatant cash grab. By limiting cross-play, they’ve effectively segmented the player base, making matchmaking frustratingly slow and often resulting in unbalanced matches. The excitement of teaming up with friends across different platforms is gone, and instead, we’re left with an isolated experience that feels outdated. The gameplay itself hasn’t improved enough to warrant this kind of regression. If anything, the loss of cross-play highlights how stagnant the series has become. It’s hard to believe that in an era where connectivity and inclusivity are celebrated, FC25 takes such a backwards approach. Furthermore, the community backlash has been ignored. Players have expressed their frustration, yet the developers seem unbothered. It’s as if they’re out of touch with what their fanbase wants. This feels like a betrayal, and it’s hard to recommend FC25 when it feels like a step back in every way. Overall, FC25 is a disappointment. Until they bring back cross-play and genuinely listen to their community, I can’t see myself sticking around. If you’re looking for a fun, connected experience, look elsewhere. EA is dead
