Sure sun setting removed a load of gear and the dcv took away a lot to do, but as someone who played d2 and logged over 67 days worth, I have to say this expansion brought me back to play destiny again and it feels better than ever. After you finished the red war campaign and forsaken and shadowkeep, were you really gonna go to titan, Mercury, io, or mars(except for escalation)? I know I never went back there after forsaken or shadowkeep unless a quest made me do it. Now I can play on the planets that have content and aren’t base game from 3 years ago. And the sun setting of gear does suck and I miss a lot of cool weapons, but I deleted most of the weapons that got sunsetted and it felt like restarting which was refreshing. The new supers are broken, sure, but they are the most fun supers in destiny history. And maybe for the casual player who likes to go out and loot a chest expecting a new weapon every other time, it may not be the best, but for someone who spends time making builds and adding weapons into builds with different perks for each one, I can spend hours and be happy with the time I’ve spent. Stasis just adds to that fun. All in all, great expansion and if you don’t like it now, maybe come back in 2-3 weeks when they add more to the season so you have more things to do. Give it a chance to succeed before growing it out. Bungie did great on this one

Thi game is difficult. At first I was angry when I finished it, but then I was thinking about it several months after it’s release. People can say what they like about it and I agree that there should have been a choice at the very end. But the shear emotions this game makes you feel is all too real. The ending sucks at first but when you think about it later it’s truly one of the saddest and darkest endings in a game. Lots of people disagreed with playing as Abbie and honestly so do I, but I get it. To get the ending that this game has you have to play as her to understand and truly feel the ending. It makes you feel like your Ellie when slamming the square button and makes you feel invested once the game is over. I’m still very conflicted about this game but even as a few months went by this game to me is aging very nicely in my opinion. The gameplay alone is enough to buy it as it is one of the best feeling games as everything flows perfectly gameplay wise and not to mention visually stunning. 4 stars because I do agree there should have been a choice at the end.
