We decided to get the audiobook after the movie. We are not a fan of the prose/writing style. the author is trying to cram every descriptive word and analogy into every sentence to the point that it overwhelms the storyline and sounds clunky to listen to. i thought i would enjoy the book more than the movie as is usually the case but the book is awful. the over description of every single thing in the book is actually laughable. i didn’t mind the movie but think ill pass on the book.
