I mainly watched because Brianne Howey is in it. The movie just relied on a series of embarrassing events to try to be funny. I can appreciate it when done right, but I hate feeling the second hand embarrassment for most of it. I'm not even sure how I managed to watch the whole thing. The ending did make me laugh, so I give an extra star for that.

This is a cute show that I enjoyed. I'm into fantasy and I loved the show back in 1998. I do think the older show is much better than this show, but this is still a good show. I think it's a show children would enjoy watching. For the record, this show does not copy Harry Potter. This series follows the Worst Witch series by Jill Murphy. They were written long before Harry Potter came out. While I understand the show not being other people's tastes and criticism for the show is fine, I don't understand the hatred it's getting. There are plenty of shows I've disliked but I can't think of any that has resulted in over the top hatred.

It was a fun movie to watch, but I wouldn't watch it with high expectations. I enjoyed it and I loved seeing Kiernan Shipka and Isabela Moner in this movie as well. I'd say 3 out of 5 stars and I've seen Kiernan star in much better.
