The first 2 or 3 seasons seemed authentic, and I thought everyone truly wanted to find love/marriage. Unfortunately, as the show gained popularity and notable presence on social media, it was easy to see that some had ulterior motives. And, whomever selects the contestants are no longer finding people qualified financially or morally to be on a show where people are presumably ready to love (and marry). Needless to say, it is no longer "must watch" TV for me! UPDATE: What I said before X TEN! This most recent season suggests that the show's producers want drama over qualified participants like all Reality shows at this point. And, it shows that the selection process is very Weak, because not one couple had a good ending. This show has become a waste of time; it's not even good escapism when we need it most. Sept. 2025

I have liked this show until the current season. It is no longer about 3 couples striving to be successful in business, marriage, and friendship. Now it is just another "Housewives" show with husbands. And the producer seems to think he is the Black Andy Cohen. I think OWN is going down the wrong path if they think this show will be as popular as the "Housewives" series on Bravo. On tonight's reunion episode, the producer told Martell that he thought he truly loved his side chick. Anyone could see the effect this had on Melody. I do not think a mature audience will continue to watch what may as well be scripted drama because in reality the producers plan the drama when there is none naturally occurring. At some point when does decency, compassion and common sense trump the desire for fame and fortune. Wake up people, the lack of values and actual intelligence is depicted in TV these days. I hoped OWN would be different!
