Empuraan fails to live up to the hype, delivering a weak and un-engaging storyline that lacks the impact of Lucifer. Mohanlal’s presence alone can't save a poorly executed script, and the film feels more like an overextended spectacle rather than a gripping narrative. Prithviraj’s character arc is just a rehash of his roles in Jana Gana Mana, Kuruthi, and Theerppu, making it predictable and uninspired. Murali Gopy, once again, proves that whenever he is asked to write a pan-Indian film, he ends up creating something like Tiyaan—a convoluted mess that lacks depth or connection. The only saving grace of the film is the Supreme Legend actor Antony Perumbavoor. Surprisingly, his acting outshines many of the main cast members, bringing a sense of authenticity that the rest of the film sorely lacks. If not for his performance, Empuraan would have been an even bigger disaster.

Shakuntalam disappoints with its average acting skills, bad VFX, and slow-paced screenplay. The small and simple story leaves one wondering why samantha didn't read the script carefully. Before watching, ask someone about the story to avoid paid promotions or attention-seeking drama. Overall, the movie fails to impress and may leave you feeling disappointed.
