I fell asleep in the middle of the movie as it was so dry with the endless talking scenes where they tried to hard to land jokes that were just off. Probably some action scenes helped but it again tailed off with the 2 beating each other up again and again without much logic. The ending also felt rather forced.

What a disaster!! It is a waste of your 2 hours. I rather viewers watch the 1998 version. The only reason why I rated is is due to the beautiful costumes, scenic locations as well as the opening scene where she was chasing the chicken which was quite exciting. However, the rest of the movie has no build up at all. The movie just goes straight into action and many plots were very predictable. It seems to have no head or tail at all. Why did they cut out Mushu and all the amazing songs? It must be sad that a film 22 years ago is many times better than the current iteration.
