I went to see the movie with my daughter and grandson not expecting very much. Kids films can be OK or really bad in my experience. I hadn't seen the first Angry Birds film so it was all new to me. It took a little while to get going but as more characters were introduced , for example the wonderful purple Zeta with her amazing voice and the scaredy-cat Mighty Eagle, voiced by the brilliant Peter Drinklage, it really took off, even though most of the birds can't fly(!)
The screenplay is hilarious. It jumps from very funny to absolutely inspired craziness. We were laughing our heads off s lot of the time. Brilliant soundtrack songs made the film even more amusing. I was very surprised, at the age of 72, by how much I enjoyed this film.
