I’m glad I didn’t listen to the negative reviews. I heard about it having a generic story, and yes it’s quite predictable, but if I had let that stop me from watching it then I would have missed out greatly. The movie was BEAUTIFUL and touching. How the elements interacted ( mainly water and fire) was so mesmerizing and wholesome. I sincerely wish more people would go and this movie a chance.

Two characters that make this movie unbearable to continue watching sometimes, the father and daughter (especially). They are not the heroes you would cheer for to make it through the apocalypse while the ones you do cheer for, well...

Overall a good movie to watch. It was endearing and charming although I will say that I was not expecting it to end the way it did. Lots of questions were unanswered; I am not sure if it was intentional or not but it left me unsatisfied at the end which is why I gave it 4/5 stars. The 3D didn't hinder the movie at all, it was actually good. I'm not sure why so many people say it was bad, I rather watch this 10 times over than watch Tales from Earthsea.
