I liked the movie. You have to go into it with an open mind. Leave your preconceived notions about seeing the Sopranos as we remember them. This film gives you insights into some of the characters that were only referred to in the Sopranos Series. It gives a greater understanding of why Tony behaved as he did, the complicated dynamic with his mother, and his early relationships with people that would be in his life well into adulthood.
