The Only Honest review: The show is truly a heart warming fun-filled show. Full comedy on stereotypes from different cultures. It’s full of positivity but also controversy. It’s a true healthy balance of both. The Johnson’s are hilarious. They are the new white family from a small town in Michigan moving into a predominantly black neighborhood in south central LA. Of the back they are in a different situation than they’ve ever experienced before. Their adaptability and lessons they teach their black neighbors, shows the world of how different worlds can come together. The Butlers are just as hysterical. They are a working class black family who’s lived in the black neighborhood their whole lives. So much so that they are entrenched into the community. Every character on the show has their own experiences that they share with the audience. If you actually sit and watch the show with an open mind and no racism in your heart, there is absolutely no Way you should dislike this show. I have known this show to bring people spirits up when their mind is in the darkest of places. Give it a honest shot and understand that’s if you are not from the opposite cultures community that there may be stuff you could learn from. A lot of it is based in reality of course there are no such thing as definitives for any culture, but it does touch on the significant differences in our cultures.
