An entertaining way to learn about history. Only disappointed with the unnecessary nudity and sex scenes. I guess Netflix is too afraid that they can't sell a show without sex and nudity. We want good historical drama, not good porn.

I am giving it 3 stars because of season 3. Season 1 was excellent, 5 stars. Season 2 was excellent, 4 and half stars (a bit boring toward the end). Season 3 was terrible, 1 star. If the show were to wrap up in season 2, it would be a masterpiece. But it overstays its welcome. Season 3 was a complete mess, filled with filler. The writers seem to have trapped in their own "paradox" of story telling, kept on looping in its endless story telling which makes it, tiring. After a few episodes in season 3, I just skipped to the last episode to get the conclusion and I don't feel like I am missing anything. They could have compressed season 3 into 2 episodes and put it together into season 2.

I guess China has destroyed Jackie Chan. Wolf warrior, Operation Red Sea and now Vanguard with Jackie Chan joining the bandwagon. Many have already said about the non-existence of plot. I just want to add that there is completely no logic and sequence in the show. Everything just came together at convenient. 1. Good guy and bad guy just happen to meet in the same place so the fight, action, chase can happen. 2. Jackie Chan and his assistant just walked into Africa jungle in the middle of the night to track the missing girl, and they so happened to meet them at the location where the hunters are also about to capture the girl. How convenient. 3. The hunter could suddenly switch from car to boat and jet skies at the river. From where they come from, and when did they carry those things? 4. Oh by the way, there is a perfect hanging tree house in the middle of Africa jungle just happened to be the home of Fareeda. 5. The negotiation supposed to happen in the heart of terrorist controlled city where even the authority wouldn't dare to go in. And yet they were so stupid to agree to the place. Shouldn't such a negotiation to be in a neutral place? 6. Omar supposed to be a wanted terrorist, but they could just go to Dubai like a rich Arab Sheikh. 7. How did the Vanguard brought in all their gadgets and guns into Dubai? Smuggle? 8. What is the time frame between the incident in terrorist city and Dubai? Some of those near death Vanguard suddenly to be fit enough to carry out operation. 9. By the way, everyone seems to speak perfect Chinese. Last but not least, Captain China vs Captain America and You've learned our tongue, but not our ethics. Phew.....
