I don't usually bother to rate films, as I could spend hours rating my favorite ones, but Dunkirk was terrible in so many ways. Watch another WWII movie. Or, watch a documentary on the Battle of Dunkirk. This film taught next to 0 history, diminished Churchill's legendary leadership to minor detail, and reduced war to a few planes and a few boats with no blood and little resemblance to real war. Supposedly Nolan said that this is a survival movie, not a war movie, but, even as a survival movie, it sucks. The IMDb should be 5.8, not 7.8.
